Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment, (primarily trucks and trailers) ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our customers fleets functioning flawlessly.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough diagnostics using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on semi trucks, engines, trailers, haulers, mid duty trucks, transmissions, brakes,electrical, etc. ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to support equipment repair or customization projects.
- Replace or repair brakes, air brake systems, tires, alignments, HVAC systems, and perform heavy lifting tasks safely with appropriate equipment.
- Maintain detailed service records documenting repairs performed, parts replaced, and diagnostics conducted for each piece of equipment.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience working on heavy equipment with a strong focus on diesel engine repair.
- Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical, suspension, transmission, and drive line issues in semi trucks
- Solid understanding of schematics, hydraulic systems, transmissions, electrical wiring, HVAC systems, and suspension components.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance devices.
- Knowledge of automotive repair techniques including tire service, brake repair, alignment adjustments, and vehicle maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods.
- Customer service orientation with effective communication skills to interact professionally with team members and clients.
- Owning your own tools is a requirement

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
