Vice President of Finance
Growing construction materials manufacturer is seeking a Vice President of Finance to serve as its senior financial leader and strategic partner to the CEO, with the opportunity to advance to CFO within two to four years.
Establish consistent accounting policies, reporting standards, internal controls, and monthly close procedures across all business units.
- Enhance cost accounting, inventory controls, standard costing, work-in-process tracking, and variance analysis.
- Develop accurate profitability reporting by plant, product, customer, and project.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, KPI development, and long-range financial planning.
- Partner with plant and operations leaders to improve productivity, pricing, purchasing, working capital, margins, and return on invested capital.
- Oversee cash management, banking relationships, lender reporting, covenant compliance, tax, audit, insurance, and capital expenditures.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of NetSuite ERP and MRP systems.
- Support acquisition diligence, purchase accounting, Day 1 readiness, systems migration, and post-close integration.
- Track acquisition performance, cost savings, procurement benefits, and synergies against the investment thesis.
- Build and lead finance, accounting, human resources, administration, and procurement teams.
- Determine which activities should remain at the plant level and which should be centralized across the platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
- Strong expertise in accounting, FP&A, manufacturing finance, and cost accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory, work-in-process, standard costing, overhead absorption, plant utilization, and product profitability.
- Background in multi-site manufacturing, construction materials, industrial products, or a comparable operating environment.
- Experience working closely with plant managers and operations leaders.
- Proven ability to improve financial reporting, forecasting, cash management, internal controls, and operating KPIs.
- Experience implementing or enhancing ERP, MRP, consolidation, reporting, or business intelligence systems.
- Strategic mindset with a willingness to remain hands-on.
- NetSuite experience and CPA designation preferred.
Pay: $180,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
