As a Supervisor, you will provide supervision of community-based residential and day programs for people with developmental disabilities, and provide leadership to staff. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and compassionate in all situations.
Supports To Empower People (STEP) provides comprehensive, community and residential services to adult men who have intellectual/developmental disabilities (ID/DD) as well as significant behavioral and mental health concerns. The principles of Dialectical Behavioral Treatment (DBT) are adapted for the individual and integrated into all aspects of supports. STEP provides empowering assistance in therapeutically receptive environments which allows participants to embark upon the clinical challenges encountered and to safely explore and pursue their dreams.
Schedule Includes: The hours will be flexible for the first few months and then will move to Tuesday - Saturday 3:00PM - 11:00PM- after fully trained.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $22.50 to $33.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.

What You’ll Do
- Work to create safe, productive homes, along with the management team, to support individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, along with Mental Health needs, as well as traumatic experiences.
- Supervision of community-based residential and day programs for people with developmental disabilities.
- Monitoring the operation of the program at all times.
- Be an active participant in improving the quality of the operation of the programs as needed.
- Provide leadership to staff, through example as well as through supervision, toward the development and maintenance of a supportive, behaviorally-oriented therapeutic environment.
- Attend and ensure that staff attend meetings on time: shift reports, supervisory sessions, staff meetings, trainings, and any other specially convened meetings.
- Assign responsibilities and monitor progress to ensure all tasks are completed effectively.
- Ensure that all staff are fulfilling the specifications of their own job description.
- Meet in supervision with staff formally and informally, including written evaluations.
- Attendance at supervision meetings, in-services, staff meetings, lead team meetings, training programs, and committee meetings are required.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to lead people and projects.
- Ability to develop and maintain productive, positive relationships with all people.
- Driver’s license and ability to drive clients in one’s own vehicle.
- Ability to work independently.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
