Who We Are Looking For: Are you the Substitute Teacher we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth! Anchor Academy (located in Middleboro, MA) and Anchor Academy - Berkley Campus are special education, therapeutic day schools that specialize in trauma-informed services for students ages 10-22 with complex trauma histories, mental health issues, educational challenges, and/or behavioral difficulties. Anchor Academy offers students a supportive environment that addresses their education, clinical, pre-vocational, recreational and behavioral needs. Individual, group, nursing, and milieu counseling are provided. Both day schools utilize unique ARC (Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency) and BCC (Building Communities of Care) treatment frameworks that focus on building individual capacities for emotion regulation, personal strengths, and healthy relationships. Certified special education teachers provide students with curriculum that is aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework. The Substitute Teacher will travel between both locations. Schedule: This is an 11-month position. Salary: $23/hour What You'll Do: Provide support and encouragement to students in a safe, structured environment. Work alongside a team of educators, clinicians, and support staff who believe in the power of community and connection. Bachelor’s degree preferred with experience in working with youth. Flexible; OK with a changing daily schedule. Ability to build rapport with students while maintaining professional boundaries. Proficient in using computers (ie. email to ensure prompt and effective communication). Good working with a team. Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required. Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
