Senior Manager, Sales Strategy

Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Sales Strategy partners closely with Sales and Marketing leaders to support sustainable, profitable growth across channels and customers. This role helps translate commercial and enterprise strategies into well‑structured, actionable sales plans that support net sales, profit, and market share growth.
The role blends Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth Management (RGM) capabilities, including pricing, promotion, trade investment, and portfolio planning, with a strong focus on execution, collaboration, and field sales enablement. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across teams, applying analytical thinking, and helping others succeed in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
Location: Bethlehem, PA
Work Model: Work in a hybrid model with 3 remote days and 2 in-office days in Bethlehem, PA. Associates 50+ miles away may receive one reimbursed hotel stay per week to ease commuting.
How You’ll Impact Results:
Sales Strategy & Commercial Planning
Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and support annual and quarterly sales plans, contributing to planning processes, executional consistency, and growth initiatives
Set & translate channel and/or customer strategies into clear, executable plans across product assortment, pricing, promotion, and trade
Review in‑market performance and share insights to help identify opportunities, potential risks, and recommended adjustments to improve outcomes and ROI
Revenue Growth & Decision Support
Apply Revenue Growth Management (RGM) principles to support commercial decision‑making, including pricing strategy, promotion effectiveness, trade investment, and portfolio prioritization
Partner with cross‑functional teams to help ensure pricing, promotional, and assortment strategies are clearly communicated and consistently executed
Execution & Field Enablement
Coordinate execution of approved customer initiatives from planning through launch, partnering with Sales, Brand Marketing, Sales Planning, and Supply & Demand teams
Build strong, trust‑based relationships with field sales and brokers to support clear communication and execution
Facilitate weekly field sales and key account project discussions with clear priorities, shared accountability, and follow‑through
Partner with Marketing to support development of everyday, promotional, and seasonal selling materials that enable consistent field execution
Tools, Materials & Merchandising
Oversee the development, accuracy, and timely communication of product fact sheets, price lists, and selling tools for field sales and brokers
Collaborate with field and broker teams to evaluate merchandising, display, and shopper marketing opportunities
Provide strategic oversight for the planning and execution of national trade shows (including Sweets & Snacks and NACS), ensuring alignment with sales priorities
Your Qualifications That Will Ensure Success:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Experience
8+ years of experience in Sales Strategy, Sales Planning, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Pricing, Category Management, Commercial Strategy, or Trade Marketing
Experience in Food, Beverage, Confection, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Fast‑Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), or similar commercial environments preferred
Experience supporting customer and channel strategies in a trade‑driven or field sales environment
Familiarity with pricing strategy, promotion planning, price / pack architecture, trade investment, or ROI analysis preferred
Experience guiding direct reports or contributing to cross‑functional project teams is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
Understanding of pricing, promotion, and trade execution within a customer‑focused commercial environment
Comfort working with sales, pricing, and promotional data to generate insights and inform recommendations
Ability to manage multiple initiatives while collaborating effectively in a matrixed organization
Clear and thoughtful communicator who adapts messages for sales leaders, field teams, and cross‑functional partners
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
