What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026 Fall Accounting Intern position at Just Salad?
Just Salad is looking for talented, creative, hard-working individuals to join our Accounting Department. Our interns will gain first-hand knowledge of the restaurant industry and learn the ins and outs of working in a corporate environment.
This position will report to our Accounting Manager and work closely with the rest of the Accounting team.
This position will on site in our NYC office.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with the weekly payment run
- Assist with running GL reports from the accounting system
- Perform accounts payable vendor statement reconciliations and identify missing invoices
- Reviewing and approving rent invoices
- Assist in the preparation of sales tax filings
- Assist with the period end close process, including certain bank reconciliations, P&L allocations, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with utility tracking and setup
- Sort through mail weekly and distribute accordingly
Qualifications
- Student or recent graduate with an accounting degree
- Positive attitude and willingness to work with others
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Excel is
preferred (vlookups, pivot tables)
- 40 hours per week (FT) or 10-15 hours per week (PT)
- Free Just Salad lunch while working
- Fall 2026 Semester
- $17-18.00/hr per hour
- Sept 8, 2026 to Dec. 1, 2026 (12 weeks)
