Job Description

Lushena Books is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our Shipping & Receiving team. This position plays an important role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time while maintaining organized inventory and efficient warehouse operations.

This is a computer-intensive warehouse position, requiring strong computer skills and the ability to work with multiple shipping platforms. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to make sound decisions when selecting the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Process approximately 30–50 customer orders each day.
• Pick, pack, and prepare book orders for shipment.
• Create shipping labels using FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipping software.
• Select the most efficient and cost-effective shipping method while meeting customer delivery requirements.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming inventory shipments.
• Restock inventory throughout the workday to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Prepare outgoing shipments accurately and on schedule.
• Safely operate a manual pallet jack on a daily basis.
• Operate a forklift as needed (training available for qualified candidates).
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills are required.
• Experience using FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipping platforms is preferred.
