Material Handler Loader

Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Skokie, IL 

Shift: 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday  

Pay: $18 - $20 (Depending on experience)

Requirements: Authorized to work in the US 

Position Type: Temp to Hire

Basic Function:
Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving, stocking, and organizing materials within the facility. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments

• Prepare and package outgoing orders accurately and on time

• Operate forklift (5% - 10% of the time), and pallet jack to load/unload materials from trucks

• Make bales of scrap paper

• Perform light product assembly tasks according to specifications

• Maintain clean and organized workspaces in the shipping and production areas

• Keep accurate records of inventory and shipments

• Wrap pallets

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
   

Requirements:

• Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse environment preferred

• Experience operating a forklift (certification a plus) and pallet jack

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, reach for 8 hours

• Attention to detail and good organizational skills

• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

• Must have the ability to speak read and write English (Spanish is a plus)
