Position Title: Shipping & Receiving / Forklift OperatorPosition Type: Temp to Hire / Direct Hire OpportunityLocation: Wood Dale, ILSchedule: Monday through FridayShift: 8:00AM – 4:30PMPay Range: $21/hrDuties and responsibilitiesLoad and unload trucks; assist with receiving materials and ensure proper labelingLabel drums, palletize, wrap and band orders following proper proceduresBanding and Wrapping all orders as appropriatePackage smaller items in appropriate boxes; tape, label and shipPack and ship customer orders appropriately for UPS Worldwide/FedEx/DHLFollow safety procedures and use proper safety equipment for all assigned tasksParticipate in safety programs and any assigned supervised training programsLearn and practice environmental health and safety regulations and wear the prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for assigned tasksMaintain a clean shipping/warehouse area. Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed and the work area meets all requirements for safety.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.Forklift Experience – RequiredUPS WorldShip (Hazmat Experience)Basic computer skillsKnowledge of shipping HAZMAT materials by UPS and TruckGood communication skills; in person, over the phone and via email.Detail-oriented; market knowledge and professionalism a mustInitiative and a positive attitudeCompetent reading and speaking the English language.This job is performed in a warehouse/outdoor environment.Physical requirements involve 25% sitting, 75% walking/standingAbility to lift up to 50lbs from the knees and waistRegularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controlsSee and hear in the normal range with or without correctionCommunicate and be understood verbally and in written form Company DescriptionJust In Time Staffing seeks to pair top candidates with opportunities that will be mutually beneficial for both them and the employers.
