Housekeeper

Job Summary

We are seeking individuals who are interested in cleaning residential houses and commercial spaces. This job is based in the Cameron area, but will also include surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across residential or commercial properties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure hygienic living environments.
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens.
• Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and safety.
• Use cleaning equipment and detergents effectively while adhering to safety guidelines for manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as patio cleaning or yard tidying when required.
• Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage time efficiently to complete daily tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly, including kitchen counters, bathroom fixtures, windowsills, and appliances.
• Follow janitorial or custodial protocols to uphold sanitation standards across all areas of the residence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping roles; janitorial or custodial experience is highly valued. Willing to train motivated candidates.
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely when necessary.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Customer service orientation with clear communication skills for client interaction.
• Outdoor work experience is a plus for tasks involving exterior spaces or yard maintenance.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents and proper usage protocols to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks throughout the day in various environments.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
