Estimator - Fire Alarm / Low Voltage – Nr Wayne, New Jersey
Job Description:
Our client is a full-service fire alarm & suppression company who have been in business for over 25 years. They offer high quality industrial and commercial fire protection systems and services.
They are seeking a new Estimator to join their Estimating Team. In this role, you will include compiling any and all information needed to complete a take-off, building a bill of material that best covers the scope of work, and generating comprehensive proposals that clearly state the scope of work covered in their pricing.
As a member of the Estimating Team, you will consult with the engineering department, field engineers, project managers, and other estimating team members to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
The Estimator is responsible for the following:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and technical documents to gain a thorough understanding of the project to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Partner collaboratively with cross-functional teams (design engineering, productions, sales, finance, etc.) to understand requirements and ensure alignment to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Build a project binder that consists of all documentation used to complete a take-off.
- Generate a proposal that includes the labor and materials needed to cover the scope of work gained from a completed take-off.
Job Requirements:
- Ideally a minimum of 3 / 5 years’ experience in estimating low voltage systems
- The ability to read architectural and engineering drawings and prints
- Proficient in Bluebeam (REVU), Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Access
- Ability to work independently and in team environment
- Must be legally authorized to live and work within the USA
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
