Overview
We’re partnering with a specialist architectural glass and façade contractor delivering high-end commercial glazing packages across complex build environments.
They are now looking to bring in an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support project delivery across multiple live jobs. This is a development-focused role, suited to someone early in their construction career who is keen to build technical knowledge in façade systems and progress into a fully fledged Project Manager.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced subcontractor environment where priorities shift quickly and attention to detail is critical.
The Role
You will work directly under experienced Project Managers, supporting the delivery of façade and glazing packages from pre-construction through to installation and closeout.
This role offers exposure across design coordination, procurement, scheduling, subcontractor management, and site delivery, with strong mentorship and structured progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and delivery
- Assist with submittals, RFIs, drawing tracking, and document control
- Help manage project schedules, procurement logs, and long-lead tracking
- Coordinate with fabrication teams, suppliers, and installation crews
- Attend site visits to monitor progress and assist with reporting
- Support change order tracking and basic cost awareness
- Liaise with GCs, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project flow
- Maintain accurate project documentation and meeting notes
- Gain understanding of curtain wall, storefront, and glazing systems in real project environments
Candidate Profile
- Up to 5 years experience in construction (glazing/facades/interiors/general contracting preferred)
- Strong organisational skills with a willingness to learn quickly
- Good communication skills and professional presence
- Able to work in a fast-moving subcontractor environment
- Basic ability to read drawings or willingness to develop this quickly
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
