ABOUT THE CLIENT
- We are currently working with a market leader Electrical Contractor who focus in the mission critical space and are going through an exception growth phase.
- They are seeking a Traveling Assistant Project Manager to assist in the execution of large scale data center projects nationwide.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Operational Execution: Partner with the Project Manager to drive daily operations, streamline administrative workflows, and maintain peak organizational efficiency.
- Documentation Management: Lead the lifecycle of RFIs, submittals, and change orders; maintain real-time project logs to ensure data integrity.
- Logistics & Planning: Orchestrate weekly schedules, manpower allocations, and long-lead material tracking to protect the project’s critical path.
- Communication Hub: Facilitate internal and external meetings, distilling complex discussions into actionable notes and clear stakeholder updates.
- Field Oversight: Conduct regular site walks to verify installation compliance, document field conditions, and track progress against milestones.
- Financial Stewardship: Monitor labor, equipment, and material costs while auditing invoices and purchase orders to protect project margins.
- Safety & Quality Leadership: Champion a "safety-first" culture and ensure all electrical installations meet NEC, local codes, and quality requirements.
- Project Closeout: Direct the final turnover process, including punch list resolution, as-built coordination, and delivery of final packages.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
- Field Expertise: 2–3 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, with a strong preference for candidates from the electrical trades.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of electrical systems, construction workflows, and the ability to interpret complex electrical plans and technical specifications.
- Code & Safety: Familiarity with NEC concepts; OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid certifications are highly valued.
- Software Proficiency: Power-user of industry tools including Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office; experience with Revit or BIM software is a plus.
- Soft Skills: High-level organizational and communication skills with a proven track record of diligent project follow-up.
- Mobility: Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel frequently to project sites.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business preferred, though equivalent direct field experience is highly encouraged.
- Bonus: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is an asset.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
