ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Assistant Pre-Construction Manager to support the lead Pre-Construction Manager in all pre-construction efforts across a variety of commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pre-Construction Manager in cost estimating, budgeting, and constructability reviews for commercial projects.
- Support the development and management of project scopes, schedules, and procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with the Pre-Construction Manager, clients, architects, and internal teams to gather information and deliver accurate proposals.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis under the guidance of the lead manager.
- Participate in risk analysis and assist in providing recommendations to mitigate project challenges.
- Support project teams in value engineering studies, design review coordination, and material research.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including organized estimate files, proposals, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain bids and pricing information.
- Ensure pre-construction documentation and activities align with company standards and timelines.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in estimating, pre-construction, or a related project management support role within commercial construction.
- Solid foundational knowledge of construction methods, costs, and scheduling.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency with estimating and project management software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, scheduling tools).
- Detail-oriented and proactive self-starter with a willingness to learn and grow into a senior role.
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
