Job Title: Accounting Technician Department: Administration Reports To: Deputy General Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Approved By: Board of Directors Approved Date: 05/14/2026 Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.39 / hour
SUMMARY Under general supervision, the Part-Time Accounting Technician provides essential clerical and financial assistance to the Deputy General Manager and the Management Analyst. Must be punctual, dependable individual with a keen eye for detail to manage accounts payable, process bank deposits, and deliver high-quality administrative support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive multi-tasker dedicated to maintaining organizational efficiency and accuracy across all District operations.

Associate degree or relevant certification is a plus. Hands on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports. Competency in Microsoft Office, databases, and accounting software. Data entry and word processing skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Aptitude for numbers.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
