Pharmacy Technician-NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS!
Position Summary : This Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting with the dispensing of medications and supplies under the direction of the pharmacist.
Hours are M-F, 8 hour shift. No nights or weekends!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
- Mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceutical preparations
- Assisting Pharmacist with preparation and dispensing medication per physician’s orders
- Entering patient information into computer
- Checking out customers at the register
- Processing records of medication and equipment dispensed to customer or hospital patient
- Computing and entering transaction data into computer
- Operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment and work area in a sanitary fashion
- Respond quickly and professionally to customer requests and inquiries, both in the store and on the phone
- Acts as a liaison between the patient, pharmacy, other departments and other health professionals in tracking, coordinating, and documenting patient related services
- Assists in ensuring compliance of pharmacy operations with Federal, State, accrediting bodies and local rules and regulations and ensure that updates are maintained regarding such regulations

Requirements :
- Pharmacy Tech License/Certification required
- Retail Pharmacy: 1 year (preferred not required)
- High school or equivalent
