Salary: Preconstruction Associate:Jupiter Power is an energy infrastructure company focused on the development, construction, and operation of energy storage assets in wholesale electricity markets. Formed in 2017, the company is a national leader in energy storage deployment, utilizing its proprietary dispatch optimization applications to support both merchant and contracted structures. Jupiter currently has approximately 2200 megawatt-hours in construction or operation and is developing approximately 14 GW of projects over 2025-2030.Jupiter seeks to hire a highly motivated and experienced professional as a Preconstruction Associate in the EPC Department. The Preconstruction Associate will support the technical evaluation, design, and execution of utility-scale energy storage projects throughout North America.Key Responsibilities:Negotiate design and engineering standards with external counterpartiesCoordinate with different teams (e.g., design, procurement, construction) to ensure alignment with project goalsIdentify potential risks and develop mitigation strategiesServe as liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teamsFacilitate meetings and resolve conflicts or issues promptlyOwn relationship with third party engineers of record; review detailed civil, structural, and electrical engineering design packages, and ensure compliance with Jupiters technical specificationsConduct development site visits to support site constructability evaluation, landowner meetings, permitting hearings, and community outreach eventsParticipate in on-site meetings involving counterparties and local government bodies such as planning commissions, fire departments, and others as neededIdentify areas for process improvement and contribute to the optimization of workflowsApply lessons learned from completed projects to improve future project outcomesSupport the preparation of project sales proposals, review contractual offtake documentation, and support origination efforts as neededPrepare engineering specifications and scopes of work for build-transfer and balance of plant agreementsSupport project financing efforts by providing responses to lender and independent engineer due diligence questionsJupiter seeks individuals eager to develop their core professional knowledge, learn new areas of the business and take on additional responsibilities within Jupiters dynamic team.
