Overview We're looking for a hands-on maintenance technician to handle day-to-day work orders and unit turns at a residential apartment community. This role splits time between responding to resident maintenance requests and performing make-ready work between tenancies.
Responsibilities
- Complete resident work orders including plumbing repairs, basic electrical work, appliance troubleshooting, and general repairs
- Perform make-ready turns — patching and painting drywall, replacing fixtures, touching up finishes, and leaving units rent-ready
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on common areas and building systems
- Communicate with residents professionally and respond to requests in a timely manner
- Document completed work orders and report any major issues to the property manager
- Assist with grounds upkeep and general property appearance as needed
What We're Looking For
- Plumbing experience (faucets, toilets, supply lines)
- Basic electrical (outlets, switches, fixtures)
- Drywall patching and finishing
- Interior painting — clean, consistent results
- Fixture replacement (doors, hardware, lighting)
- Must own basic hand and power tools
- Prior apartment maintenance preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Team player who communicates well with coworkers, residents, and management
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
