What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practice Manager position at Junto Law?
About Junto Law
We guide the next generation of leaders as they fund, grow, and sell their businesses. Headquartered in Chattanooga, TN, we counsel startups, investors, and entrepreneurs on formation, governance, financings, and exit transactions. If you thrive on efficiency, transparency, and building relationships with clients shaping the future, join us as we transform how law is delivered, on purpose.
The Role
We are looking for a Practice Manager to serve as the operational backbone of our firm. This is a hybrid role that blends financial operations with office administration (logistics and client experience). You will work directly with management to ensure the business side of the practice runs as precisely as the legal side.
Responsibilities
- Financial Operations: Manage the full cycle of billing and collections (AR/AP), coordinate payroll, and serve as the primary liaison for bookkeeping and accounting.
- Practice Management: Serve as the administrator for our practice management software and CRM. You will oversee client onboarding (engagement letters, conflict checks, file opening) and troubleshoot workflows.
- Executive Support: Assist with calendar management, scheduling, and operational projects to maximize firm productivity.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3 years in operations, office management, or financial administration. (Experience in a professional services firm is a plus).
- Financial Literacy: You must be comfortable with numbers. You can navigate complex spreadsheets and financial data, understand billing cycles, and spot errors in data.
- Tech-Savvy: You are the person others ask for help with software. You pick up new tools (billing platforms, CRMs, AI tools) quickly.
- Versatile: You are comfortable pivoting between high-level financial oversight and day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Location: Must be willing to work in-office in Chattanooga, TN.
