Title: Construction Project Engineer (entry to mid-level)
Location: Lenexa, Kansas
Pay: $80k-$120k base (DOE) bonus

Position Summary
The Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting the successful execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with the planning and execution of commercial construction projects.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain project progress.
- Track procurement of materials and long-lead items to support project schedules.
- Monitor project budgets, cost reports, and subcontractor commitments.
- Assist with project scheduling and identify potential risks or delays.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate action items to the project team.
- Support quality control and ensure work complies with contract documents and company standards.
- Help facilitate project closeout, including punch lists, as-built drawings, warranties, and final documentation.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all company and OSHA safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 1 years of experience supporting commercial construction projects.
- Understanding of construction methods, project scheduling, contracts, and building systems.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Commercial construction experience in healthcare, multifamily, mixed-use, municipal, or office projects.
- Knowledge of design-build or construction management delivery methods.
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
