SUMMARY
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across the resort. This role ensures all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with codes and resort standards. The technician works closely with the Facilities and Engineering teams to address daily maintenance needs and long-term equipment upkeep.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on all HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, heat pumps, rooftop units, mini splits, and ventilation systems.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring timely and accurate repairs.
- Monitor and adjust building management systems (BMS) and temperature controls.
- Maintain logs of equipment performance, repairs, and part replacements.
- Respond to HVAC -related work orders quickly and professionally.
- Ensure all HVAC work complies with local, state, and national codes and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized repairs or replacements are required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
- Assist the Facilities team with general building maintenance as needed.
- Maintains a professional standard at Juniper Preserve including, but not limited to, appearance, interaction with members, associates, guests of the resort, verbal discussions and written correspondence.
- Maintains a positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 2 years of HVAC maintenance experience required; resort, hotel, or commercial property experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Working knowledge of digital controls and building management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
