Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Conduct commercial cleaning duties in various settings such as offices, industrial sites, and residential properties.
- Carry out floor care activities including buffing and waxing as needed.
- Assist with custodial duties related to facilities maintenance to ensure all areas are well-kept.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is beneficial.
- Experience as a porter or in facilities maintenance roles will be considered an asset.
