What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at Junior coal?
Junior Coal Contracting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic . The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, extensive knowledge of heavy equipment diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems, and able to work outdoors at job sites when necessary. Pay is based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in all equipment including but not limited to: caterpillar heavy equipment such as cat 992 ,980 wheel loaders . Cat D10 bulldozers and Euclid Hitachi haul trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks
- Conduct thorough equipment inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of working in both indoor and outdoor settings, exposed to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain, along with potential elements like dust, dirt, and noise.
- Work overtime as business needs arise.
