Key Responsibilities:
· Build and Maintain Relationships: Foster strong connections with students and parents by creating a collaborative environment that supports student learning. Understand the unique challenges each student may face and work closely with parents to ensure a positive and rewarding experience. Take the time to learn each student's personality to ensure the best possible match with instructors for behind-the-wheel lessons.
· Teach Critical Driving Skills: Lead students through the Jungle Driving approved curriculum while also covering all essential state-required content to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of vehicle operation.
· In-Vehicle Guidance: Ride along with student drivers, offering real-time feedback and assessing their skills to help them become competent drivers.
· Master Parking Techniques: Show students how to park a standard-sized vehicle using various methods, ensuring they feel confident in any parking situation.
· Navigate the Roads Safely: Instruct students on how to safely drive in diverse environments, including city traffic, highways, residential areas, and rural roads.
· Educate on Road Laws: Teach students the essential state motor vehicle laws – from speed limits to pedestrian rights, accident reporting, and insurance regulations – so they are fully equipped to be responsible drivers.
· Know the Signs: Familiarize students with road signs, highway markings, and signals to ensure they can navigate with awareness and confidence.
· Vehicle Familiarization: Help students become familiar with the car’s controls, gauges, and the basics of vehicle maintenance for safe, responsible driving.
· Assess Knowledge: Administer tests and quizzes to ensure students retain important information and are ready for the road.
· Additional Duties: Assist with other related tasks as needed to support our driving program and students’ success.

· Adaptable & Flexible: You’re ready to accept change with unforeseen circumstances and adapt to the needs of the students. You’re comfortable driving and instructing in all weather conditions.
· A Passion for Teaching: You’re excited to be part of the journey that helps students gain independence and become confident, safe drivers.
· Engaging Personality: You skillfully incorporate humor and humility to enhance the Jungle Driving experience, creating a fun and memorable class environment for our students. At the same time, you maintain the highest standards of instruction, ensuring both engagement and excellence.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Two years of related experience preferred.
· Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
· Experience in law enforcement or teaching is a plus.
· NE Certified Instructor Preferred, but we will invest in the right person!
· Must be 21 years of age or older to be a Certified Driving Instructor in the state of NE.
Physical Requirements:
· Comfortable spending extended periods in a vehicle.
· Physical ability to operate an automobile.
· Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which includes criminal history, motor vehicle records, and sex offender registry reviews, as well as a drug screening.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
