What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parks Attendant position at Juneau County (WI)?
The Juneau County Forestry and Parks Department is accepting applications for Seasonal Park employees at Castle Rock Park, Wilderness Park, and outlying properties. Positions start before Memorial Day and end Labor Day (start and end dates are flexible).The available positions are for grounds maintenance and park office staff. Position may require working nights, weekends, and holidays.
Grounds Maintenance
• Mowing, weed trimming, and grounds care.
• Litter pick up and maintaining camp sites.
• Sanitary upkeep of outhouses and shower buildings.
• Assisting with park projects.
• Operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Assist the Park Manager in enforcing policies and ordinances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Office Duties
• Greet visitors, answer phones, and provide information.
• Check-in campers, make camping reservations, and sell car passes.
• Use computers, cash registers, credit card machines, and other office equipment.
• End of day balancing.
• Assist the Park Manager in enforcing policies and ordinances.
• Assisting with grounds maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Details
This is a seasonal position. Seasonal positions do not automatically lead to permanent
employment or have the same benefits as permanent employees; however, these positions do
offer valuable work experience and an opportunity to learn more about career opportunities.
