Summary/Objective
Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation
Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies
Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability
Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the management and executive teams
Implement and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closeout accounting schedules
Essential Functions
Assists in the preparation of the Clinic's monthly consolidated financial statements and cost center expense allocations.
Manages the daily operations of the department to provide high quality accounting support services.
Compiles work RVUs and Office Arrival statistics, by physician, for P&L reporting purposes.
Calculates production bonuses for the employed physicians. Prepares audit schedules upon request.
Generate and review journal entries and allocations.
Process and manipulate large volumes of transactional data.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages the accounting operations employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of these employees within the department.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This job is primarily sedentary, but does require the ability to travel to other locations to meet with staff and managers.
Lifting of no more than 10 pounds required.
Ability to operate a personal computer and use a computer for long periods of time. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Ability to multi-task and change priorities in a typically high stress environment.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position other than occasional travel to corporate sites regarding employee relations issues.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience
Minimum AA Degree
Preferred Education And Experience
BA Accounting preferred
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Computer Literacy (strong Excel and Accounting software background preferred
Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, etc.
Schedule Flexibility (position will demand the need to stay late to meet payroll or other types of deadlines, as applicable)
Professional Communication Skills (position demands significant physician, director and administrative interaction, both verbal and written)
Experience with software such as Epic, Allscripts, UKG, Paylocity preferred.
