Job Overview
Jump Start Sports is looking for energetic and reliable coaches to lead youth sports programs across North Dallas.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role offering flexible scheduling based on program needs. Coaches will lead fun, structured sessions that help kids build confidence, learn fundamentals, and stay active.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and staying active — including teachers, educators, and those with sports training experience seeking additional or seasonal work.
What You’ll Do
- Lead youth sports sessions for ages 2–12
- Teach fundamentals in soccer, basketball, flag football, baseball, and more
- Run structured drills, skill-building activities, and games
- Create a fun, safe, and engaging environment
- Set up and break down equipment
- Communicate professionally with parents
- Bring energy, leadership, and positivity to each session
Schedule & Availability
Spring Programs:
- Typically scheduled between 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Weekdays and occasional weekends
Summer Camps:
- Monday–Friday
- Between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Full-day and half-day shifts available
Coaches with consistent summer availability are strongly preferred.
What We’re Looking For
- Energetic and positive individuals with a passion for sports and youth development
- Comfortable leading and managing groups of children (ages 2–12)
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills
- Ability to teach and demonstrate basic sports fundamentals
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to program locations across North Dallas (Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Melissa, The Colony, Wylie, and surrounding areas)
- At least 18 years old
- Teachers, PE instructors, or individuals with sports training experience are encouraged to apply
Compensation
- $15–$25 per hour (based on experience and program type)

Work Location
Programs are held in-person at parks, schools, and community centers across North Dallas.
Coaches may be assigned to different locations based on program needs.
Important Classification
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not a W-2 employee role. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes.
