Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle various chemical agents safely for cleaning and sanitation purposes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and proper floor care techniques to ensure a pristine appearance.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning agents while ensuring proper inventory management.
• Follow all safety protocols during custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries and promote a safe working environment.
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or reporting larger issues promptly for resolution.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and industrial cleaning tools is essential.
• Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is required to ensure safe work practices.
• Experience with industrial cleaning techniques or facilities maintenance will be considered an asset.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices is necessary.
• Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with building occupants or visitors when needed.
• Previous porter experience or background in industrial cleaning and custodial services will strengthen your application.

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
