Summary
The Automotive Service Manager is responsible for the overall operation and profitability of the service department at Julio Jones Kia in Tuscaloosa, AL. This includes overseeing the work of all service technicians, service advisors, and other service department staff. The Service Manager is also responsible for ensuring that all customer vehicles are repaired and maintained to the highest standards of quality and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the service department
- Hire, train, and supervise service technicians, service advisors, and other service department staff
- Schedule appointments and assign work to service technicians
- Ensure that all repairs and maintenance are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality
- Monitor the performance of service technicians and provide feedback and coaching
- Order parts and supplies
- Manage the service department budget
- Build and maintain relationships with customers
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in an automotive service management role
- Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance procedures
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage and supervise a team of employees
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
