Summary of Duties:
The Commercial HVAC Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for both accurately estimating commercial HVAC projects and managing them through to successful completion. This role combines technical cost estimation with hands-on project oversight, requiring strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
· Prepare cost estimates from concept through basic design for project bidding and planning purposes.
· Review cost records, ensure accurate allocation, and update organizational cost standards based on market conditions.
· Track market prices for construction materials, equipment, and labor to maintain competitive estimates.
· Review project documentation, visit sites, and gather data to determine scope and requirements.
· Select, measure, and analyze key metrics to prepare reliable forecasts and adjust estimates or schedules as needed.
· Conduct risk analysis and evaluate vendor/subcontractor offers, maintaining long-term relationships with key partners.
· Create and present project and cost reports to executives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
· Develop and adjust project schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and make informed decisions to keep projects on track.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams to maintain workflow synergy.
· Perform quality control throughout project development to ensure compliance with standards.
· Be available for additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in business management or related fields.
· Leadership experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
· Professional Management Professional certification preferred.
· Valid Driver’s License to include active liability insurance.
· Successful completion of required criminal record and motor vehicle record background checks.
· Ability to pass a drug screening.
