Duties
- Assist bartenders by restocking supplies, garnishes, and beverages efficiently to keep the bar fully prepared for service
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including bar cleaning, food handling surfaces, and general venue tidiness in accordance with food service bar safety compliance standards
- Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes promptly to ensure a smooth flow of service and a welcoming environment
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, cleaning equipment, and moving stock or furniture safely and efficiently
- Support food preparation tasks when needed, including basic food handling and ensuring all food industry safety protocols are followed
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for cash handling and transactions accurately
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate venue beverage service during busy periods or special events such as banquets or catering functions
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly desirable; bar experience or bartender skills are a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members
- Knowledge of venue beverage service procedures and familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, heavy lifting, manual handling, and bending
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Experience with food preparation, food handling safety standards, and restaurant or hotel operations is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings like banquet events or catering services
