Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Server Assistant/Host to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and supporting the serving staff to ensure an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, a positive attitude, and previous experience in food service or hospitality environments. This position offers opportunities to develop skills in restaurant operations, guest services, and food handling within a fast-paced setting. MUST BE AVAILABLE NIGHTS & WEEKENDS.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and manage waitlist efficiently as the first point of contact.
- Assist servers by bussing tables, refilling water, and delivering food or beverages when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Support food preparation and presentation in collaboration with kitchen staff as required.
- Operate POS system Toast order entry and billing.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Handle phone calls and take out orders.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing guest inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy hours.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and proper sanitation practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Experience with serving, bussing, food preparation, or kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance.
- Experience with banquet service, hotel operations, or culinary environments is a plus.
