Position Summary

As a Technical Program Manager, you will drive multiple programs across teams and organizations, proactively identifying, organizing, and executing program activities to deliver business, operational, and technical improvements. Responsibilities include scoping, phasing, and managing ambiguous cross-functional challenges, ensuring stakeholder alignment, and delivering downstream change management.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, drive, and own program charters addressing scope, timeline, OKRs, resourcing, and risks/dependencies.
• Translate ambiguous goals into clear, measurable objectives and milestones.
• Create project plans with discrete phases, risks, and dependencies.
• Optimize checkpoints and metrics dashboards for continuous improvement.
• Design and deliver program communication plans, including executive updates.
• Develop and execute change management rollout plans and monitor progress.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and manage escalations.
• Perform technical due diligence to evaluate engineering scope and resourcing.
• Collect and analyze data for program governance and decision-making.
• Maintain project trackers, status reports, and automated processes for velocity.
• Define program governance structure for mitigations, postmortems, and escalations.

Updated Description

As a Technical Program Manager in Producer Foundations, you will lead complex technical projects to create a foundational cross-platform product suite that empowers SaaS operators to build, deploy, and operate SaaS offerings at scale across multiple environments (Google Cloud Platform, Google Distributed Cloud, multi-cloud). You will work closely with engineering, product, and stakeholders to define, plan, execute, and deliver programs that accelerate business impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex programs targeting high business impact.
• Define program charter and execution strategy with stakeholder alignment.
• Plan, execute, and deliver programs with engineering and product teams.
• Communicate and influence effectively across multiple levels.

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 8 years in technical program management, engineering management, or platform product management.
• Experience driving enterprise software products from inception to production.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and coordinate with multi-discipline stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience building and delivering complex distributed cloud-hosted systems.
