  1. How do you ensure on-time delivery (OTD) and address critical schedule recovery at supplier?
  1. Can you walk me through a time when you identified a supplier performance issue (quality, cost, or delivery) and what actions you took to resolve it? What was the impact?
  1. Describe your experience working with manufacturing processes or complex assemblies. How have you contributed to improving OTD efficiency, quality, or throughput? Any example using AI to accelerate the recovery or improvement plan?
  1. Describe a time you had to explain a technical issue or recommendation to non-technical stakeholders or leadership. How did you ensure alignment and drive decision-making?


As a member of the Supplier Recovery Team (SRT), you will engage strategically with suppliers who do not meet client key performance metrics, ensuring they adhere to our cost, quality, and delivery expectations. Acting as the primary liaison, you will collaborate with internal teams-including Procurement, Program IPT, Supply Chain Program Managers, and Supplier Quality teams-to identify the root causes of non-performance and develop robust recovery plans. Your efforts will focus on driving continuous performance improvements within the supply chain, leveraging your expertise to enhance supplier capabilities and support client ambitious production goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics across the supply chain
  1. Create, improve, and implement supplier quality and manufacturing processes
  1. Review and understand supplier issues, and recommend the appropriate actions
  1. Work closely with receiving, receiving inspection, supplier quality engineer, and assurance in purging suspect/non-conforming material from inventory and throughout the organization
  1. Oversee and be accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations.
  1. Develop, analyze, and present process metrics to encourage design for manufacturability, quality, and supply chain improvements
  1. Analyze and improve supplier processes for bottlenecks, yield, and rate limiters to meet throughput targets
  1. Manage supplier workflow and projects to ensure priorities are aligned with business needs
  1. Develop schedules and plans to bring up new parts and processes in the supply chain, and support supplier execution against timeline
  1. Lead, track, and improve supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes
  1. Develop, implement, and continuously improve business processes needed for receiving inspection operations, nonconforming hardware management, manufacturing and assembly, product traceability, and other critical business/production systems
  1. Work with leadership to develop future business models, establish road map and measures, and execute long-term strategic plan


Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree or higher in an engineering degree required
  1. Has worked with product development teams to define, scope, and prioritize design requirements to ensure operational and manufacturing success.
  1. Experience in hardware development and manufacturing of complex electronic assemblies
  1. Experience in technical management of suppliers
  1. Experience in implementation of DFx principles in an outsourced manufacturing environment
  1. Excellent Communication Skills - Ability to articulate technical problems to non-subject matter experts
  1. Experience with fault tree analysis and value stream or process flow mapping
  1. Ability to learn, grow and tackle new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  1. Excellent attention to detail and task ownership, someone who demonstrates pride in all work and willingness to perform low-level tasks when needed.
  1. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering or business
  1. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar training/experience
  1. Experience with capacity modeling, process mapping, and fault analysis
  1. Experience with packaging design, manufacturing, and qualification
  1. Experience in tooling bring-up, machining processes, secondary finish processes, and qualification
  1. Experience with Pareto analysis, root cause, and corrective actions
  1. Hands-on experience with metallic, plastic, composite, or electromechanical manufacturing techniques, processes, and equipment
  1. Has managed planning and technical aspects of product builds through the full product life cycle
