General Manager (Manufacturing, Sales & Service)
We are seeking a General Manager to oversee manufacturing operations, sales teams, service teams for a facility located in the Alexandria, LA area. A successful General Manager will have a background working for an industrial, distribution, or manufacturing company with a proven track record providing strong leadership, strategic direction, and a discipline of execution to facilitate business growth and stability in support of customer and shareholder objectives.
Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000 total compensation. Base Salary $145,000 - $170,000 Bonus/Commission Plan 20%-45% ($35,000 - $75,000 ). Dependent on Revenue & EBITDA.
Relocation: Sign-On Bonus for candidates moving.
Overview:
Responsible for Manufacturing Operations, Sales, Service, Inventory Management, Purchasing, Financials, and the overall health of the business in the short and long term.
Leadership of Sales Teams, Service Teams, Purchasing Manager, Shop Foreman, and Production/Operations employees. Responsible for 25 total employees directly and indirectly.
On call 24/7 for customer support and service.
Reports directly to the Owner of the company.
P/L statement ownership responsibility including short and long term budgets. Provide financial direction and month end oversight.
Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to achieve short-term and long-term objectives.
Develop and implement plans to increase sales through increased market share, penetration of new markets, and differentiation.
Formulate action plans to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
Mechanically inclined, technical expertise and process knowledge.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
Operations Management:
Oversee and assist with project bids and pricing orders.
Manage new inventory system, including pricing, quantities, and ensuring efficient inventory levels are maintained.
Overall responsibility for optimization of the facility layout.
Oversee all daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and efficient resource utilization.
Participates in the development of capital expenditure requests.
Guides operations towards continuous improvement (safe working environment, quality, customer issues, etc.).
Dispenses advice, guidance, direction and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established policies and approvals.
Financial Performance:
Review financial reports and take corrective actions when necessary.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to make data-driven decisions.
Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability without compromising quality.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and develop a skilled team of professionals in various departments.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Customer Focus:
Maintain strong relationships with key customers and clients.
Be available 24/7 to address customer needs and emergencies.
Identify customer needs and ensure the company delivers high-quality products and services.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Promote a culture of safety and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
