Development Coordinator (full time)
JCOC, a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness and hunger in Hampton Roads, is seeking a full-time Development Coordinator. This position was designed to strengthen the Development and Communications Department. Primary responsibilities include maintaining all aspects of Customer Relationship Management system, assisting with Capital Campaign administration, and overseeing In-Kind Donations. Additional tasks as assigned by the Development Director.
Candidates with a college degree in relevant area and a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in fundraising/development is preferred. Successful candidate must have excellent organizational, problem solving, and writing skills. Applicant should also have a strong ability to assess resources; implement a plan and evaluate results; have excellent decision making skills; be a self-starter with ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines; and have strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish effective working relationships across diverse populations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Donor Perfect or similar CRM with the ability to prepare and analyze reports is required. Must have the ability to work independently and prioritize work while managing multiple deadlines as well as have the physical stamina to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Some evenings and occasional weekends are required to meet agency’s need for comprehensive fundraising.

JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Development Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Development Director
SALARY RANGE: $42,000 - $46,000
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Donor Management
· Maintain all aspects of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system – DonorPerfect including:
o Input monetary and in-kind donations
o Generate, review, mail thank you mailings for monetary and gift-in-kind donations
o Run and analyze reports as needed for Development Director
o Run and analyze weekly and monthly reports for Accounting Manager
o Monitor DonorPerfect to ensure data is up to date and duplicates removed
o Generate, review, mail annual year end receipts
Fundraising and Events
· Administer Capital Campaign stewardship plan
· Coordinate donor fundraising programs including new, monthly and mid-level
· Coordinate Workplace Giving Campaigns including application submission and monitor donor involvement – i.e. CFC, CVC, CCC, United Way, JCOC’s Employee United Way South Hampton Roads, etc.
· Insure JCOC profiles on third party including Candid and Give Local 757 are current
· Assist with email marketing account and related campaigns
· Help produce events including annual Black & White Gala
In-Kind Donations
· Work with staff and volunteers to determine needs
· Solicit in-kind donations via website, social media, emails and newsletters
· Field phone calls, emails and walk-ins regarding in-kind donations
· Schedule appointments for donation deliveries
· Oversee the acceptance, sorting and organizing of non-food donations by volunteers/community service workers
· Pack donations for Housing Resource Center (HRC); transport donations as needed
· Manage budget and submit orders for toiletries and Welcome Home Baskets as needed
Other
· Serve as backup to the Administrative Assistant as needed in answering phones
· Other duties as assigned
