Responsibilities
- Assist visitors with safe and enjoyable pony rides, including mounting and dismounting procedures
- Supervise children and guests during animal interactions to ensure safety and proper behavior
- Maintain cleanliness of animal enclosures, ride areas, and guest spaces to promote hygiene and safety standards
- Educate visitors about the animals, their care, and conservation efforts in an engaging manner
- Support staff in feeding, grooming, and caring for the animals as needed
- Enforce zoo rules and safety guidelines consistently to prevent accidents or injuries
- Help set up equipment for rides and animal encounters, ensuring everything is ready for daily operations
Skills
- Passionate about working with animals and providing excellent guest service
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or bending comfortably
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with visitors of all ages
- Responsible, attentive to detail, and committed to safety protocols
- Previous experience with animals or in customer service is a plus but not required
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
