Experience in scheduling materials and employees for projects is critical, along with keen attention to detail and situational awareness to uphold safety standards. Physical stamina is necessary, as the role requires standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to 90 pounds.
Familiarity with GPS technology is a plus, and holding or obtaining certifications such as Erosion Control, Trenching/Excavation Competent Person, and Work Zone Safety Supervisor is beneficial. You must also be proficient in working outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining professionalism in interactions with co-workers, inspectors, and the public.
