What You'll Do
As Project Superintendent, you'll take a hands-on leadership role in the day-to-day field operations of the Hickory Airport project. You'll work closely with project management while leading foremen, crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, production, and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead field operations with a focus on Safety, Production, Quality, and Profitability
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, heavy equipment, materials, and project resources
- Keep work progressing according to schedule and budget
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and project personnel
- Maintain accurate daily and weekly project documentation
- Ensure work meets project specifications and company quality standards
- Develop and lead foremen and field personnel
- Help identify and resolve field issues before they impact the project
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of Superintendent experience on roadway/highway heavy civil construction projects
- Experience with large-scale roadway, site, utility, and pipe projects
- Proven leadership and crew-management ability
- Strong understanding of construction safety requirements and practices
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment
Schedule
The majority of project work will take place between 11:00 PM and 6:30 AM. A shift differential will be added to compensation for the overnight schedule.
