What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Builder II position at JST Corporation?
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the building, conditioning, and qualification of automated machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reads electrical schematics to build and wire panels.
2. Reviews drawings provided by mechanical engineers for design input.
3. Assembles machines and sub-assemblies.
4. Installs pneumatic plumbing in automation equipment.
5. Conditions tooling to improve fit and machine performance.
6. Updates/red lines tool drawings after making modifications.
7. Fabricates tooling as required.
8. Performs quality inspections of finished product during qualification and production runs.
9. Operates machines for production qualification runs.
10. Maintains and adjusts automation equipment to optimize production before shipping.
11. Troubleshoots and debugs mechanical and electrical problems on machines.
12. Prepares machines for shipment (securing, crating, re-assembly).
13. Follows HPEC Automation build standards
14. Follows OSHA regulations and US & International machine safety standards.
15. Assists with machine manuals.
16. Mentors Machine Builder I
17. Travels as required to support projects (up to 10%)
18. Any other duties as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
6 years of related experience
Ability to read product drawings and tool drawings
High school diploma or equivalent
AS degree in manufacturing technology preferred
Intro course(s) in controls systems
Certified Journeyman Tool and Die Maker preferred
Salary : $35 - $40
