The Role
As an Investment Associate, you will join the firm's core Investment Team in New York, working across the entire deal lifecycle. This is a high-visibility, high-impact position ideal for an individual passionate about fintech and armed with a rigorous understanding of asset-backed corporate finance fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwriting & Credit Analysis: Evaluate complex investment opportunities utilizing collateral-specific credit analyses (e.g., building collections/charge-off curves, measuring loss coverages, and calculating investment returns).
- Data & Portfolio Manipulation: Work fluently with large, diverse datasets; review diligence materials with a focus on manipulating loan tapes to perform deep credit analysis.
- Deal Execution: Prepare institutional-grade investment memos with a strong attention to detail and actively support all aspects of the deal execution process.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor active portfolio companies to ensure accurate reporting and generate comprehensive performance reviews.
- Sourcing & Brand Building: Aid in deal sourcing by identifying emerging companies, organizing initial meetings, and developing marketing content to support the firm's brand.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience across private credit investing, investment banking, debt capital markets, leveraged finance, structured/asset-based finance, or restructuring.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced Excel skills, with a proven ability to perform complex scenario modeling.
- Core Knowledge: Exhibit subject matter expertise across financial statement analysis, fixed-income transaction mechanics, and fundamental accounting principles.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution.
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
