What are the responsibilities and job description for the Storage Consultant position at JSM STORAGE MANAGEMENT?
The Storage Industry is at an all-time high. Our facilities maintain a 90-100% capacity rate and we have been able to stay ahead of our competitors by providing clean, secure and low-cost storage to our customers. We are currently seeking energetic and motivated persons for a Self-Storage Consultant position to work at our storage facility in Mission Hills, CA. Weekends and Evenings will be required for this position.
Our ideal candidate is professional, sales orientated, has good customer service, and good communication skills. Must work well with others and have reliable transportation. Candidate must provide a welcoming and well-maintained environment to customers through our team, effective facility maintenance and vendor management. We are looking for someone who can address customer inquiries and concerns promptly in a professional manner, communicate clearly and effectively with customers, colleagues and team-members, conduct property checks to ensure safety and operational standards are met, oversee delinquent tenant processes by reducing delinquency rates and in turn, improve customer retention.
JOB DUTIES: Primary Office responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, showing and renting units to potential tenants, customer service, fielding incoming calls, attracting new customers through marketing/social media, up-selling in the office with other merchandise/goods/third party insurance, tracking payments, completing all paperwork, and making collection calls.
JOB DUTIES: Maintenance duties will include, but are not limited to, cleaning (including sweeping, moping, wiping down, pressure washing, etc.) units/doors, golf cart, bathroom, office, windows, and around facility; picking up trash; removing weeds; and keeping grounds clean and neat. Other duties can include the use of general tools, power tools, paint, power washer, cleaning materials and more.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent phone/communication skills
Must be computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, POS)
1-2 years of experience in customer service/retail sales
Must have a flexible schedule
Must pass Background Check and Drug screening
