Job Summary
I have partnered with a pediatric speech therapy center to hire an occupational therapist. This is a is a pediatric private practice providing high-quality, family-centered care that is looking for a compassionate, skilled Occupational Therapist to deliver therapy services in both clinic and home settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric evaluations and assessments (fine motor, sensory processing, cognition, ADLs/self-care, play, school readiness, social interaction).
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting motor skills, sensory integration, self-regulation,functional mobility, self-help skills, and participation in home/school/community routines.
- Provide therapy in the clinic using specialized equipment (e.g., sensory swings, adaptive seating, fine motor tools) and in home settings, adapting interventions to the child’s environment.
- Partner with families through education and coaching to support carryover at home, school, and in the community (including strategies for sensory and behavioral challenges).
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation (evaluations, plans of care, progress notes) in compliance with Medicaid/insurance and other payer requirements.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (OT/PT/SLP, providers, educators) through care coordination and case discussions.
- Participate in ongoing learning, mentorship, and continuing education to stay current in pediatric best practices.
Experience
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- 2 years pediatric OT experience preferred (clinic and home-based experience ideal)
- Experience with pediatric diagnoses such as developmental delays, ASD, SPD, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and related neurodevelopmental needs
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and family-centered care skills
- Ability to travel to homes and assist children with physical activities as needed
- Pediatric specialty certifications (e.g., sensory integration, neurodevelopmental therapy) preferred, but not required
- Autism/neurodevelopmental experience preferred, but not required
- Bilingual in Armenian or other languages is a plus
Pay: $58.00 - $70.00 per hour
