JSM Airport Services is seeking a highly motivated Entry Support Technician. This is an entry level position with varied responsibilities, including, but not limited to, the maintenance of the airport Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) at the Denver International Airport.

Compensation:
Hourly Compensation: Starting at $26.52 (Dependent on Experience)
City and County of Denver Prevailing Wage Schedule will also apply (up to an additional $7.86 in fringe benefits.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn and work under the direct supervision of a Machinery Maintenance Mechanic (MMM) or Control Systems Technician (CST) while reporting to a Shift Supervisor, to perform the following:
- Applies basic mechanical knowledge to perform maintenance and operational tasks on an automated Baggage Handling System (BHS)
- Perform cleaning, routine inspections, preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance based on an established maintenance program
- Clear and reset jams and faults; when these failures occur, baggage and/or other items may have to be physically moved
- Learn, under direct supervision, to be able to troubleshoot, repair, replace, and rebuild all the mechanical components in the BHS to include, but not limited to, the following:

- Learn, under direct supervision, to inspect all BHS equipment for proper operation and performance, including but not limited to, conveyors, lifts, diverters, and automatic tag readers
- Learn, under direct supervision, to install, inspect, assess, maintain, repair and/or refurbish all mechanical parts, components and/or assemblies within the BHS
- Collateral duties as required
- Safety and Compliance Training as Required.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Minimum of one (1) year of mechanical work experience
- Capable of working without direct supervision for more than fifty (50%) of the time
- Capable of completing a task with minimal supervision (after proper training)
- Fully proficient with, and capable of operating, mechanical hand tools
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to sit, stand, push, pull, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, or crawl on a frequent basis
- Ability to frequently lift/move items that may range in weight up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Ability to withstand exposure to hot, cold, wet, or other weather-related conditions
