Summary: We have an opening for a Full Time Life Enrichment Coordinator at our Oak Park assisted living and memory care community. This position plans and organizes educational, social, and wellness activities and events for residents of Jewish Senior Life.
Essential Duties:
Coordinates and develops interpersonal activities for greater socialization so that residents can further thrive in a communal living setting by developing these increased socialization opportunities.
Direct and organize enriching activities/programs such as:
- Exercise
- Musical programs
- Cultural programs
- Wellness programs
- Arts/crafts
- Field trips
Regulates content of programs in accordance with resident’s needs and encourages participation.
Responsible for the scheduling of activities, calendar management, set up and clean up of all activities.
Qualifications:
Education:
College coursework or degree in therapeutic recreation or related discipline preferred. Certification a plus
Skills and experience:
- 2 years working in life enrichment/ activities with a minimum of 1 year in assisted living and memory care
- Creative and energetic
- Customer focused
- Detailed and organized
- Proficient in Microsoft office products
- Strong communication skills
- A true passion for older adults!
