What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of a 15-person machine shop team
- Serve as the go-to technical lead for CNC programming in G-Code
- Manage job scheduling, prioritize workflow, and ensure on-time delivery
- Support quoting and estimating by reviewing technical prints and requirements
- Troubleshoot machining issues and provide real-time solutions on the floor
- Work closely with material suppliers, internal teams, and customers when needed
- Track shop performance and maintain standards for safety, quality, and productivity
- Ensure team members are trained, supported, and performing at high levels
- Maintain documentation and production data within the ERP system
- BS degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field – OR 5 years of CNC leadership experience in a machining environment
- Deep understanding of CNC machining and G-Code programming
- Prior machine shop leadership experience
- Skilled in scheduling and managing workflow in a custom job shop
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings
- ERP system experience and strong computer literacy (Excel, Word)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable leading by example and coaching a high-performing team
