Electrical Maintenance Technician
Florence Area, AL (Full Relocation provided)
Compensation: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour

About the Role
Metal fabrication facility building custom equipment in the Shoals area of northern Alabama is adding multiple Electrical Maintenance and Multi-craft Technicians to its team. This is a hands-on, critical role where your work directly impacts production uptime and plant performance. The facility runs around the clock and needs experienced, electrically focused technicians who can diagnose problems fast and get equipment back online.
Day and night shifts are available. Full relocation assistance will be provided if needed
What You Will Be Doing
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems across a heavy industrial environment
- Work on PLC-controlled equipment including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and minor programming
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment
- Respond to equipment failures quickly and effectively to minimize production disruptions
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and drive corrective actions that stick
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new equipment and tooling
- Keep accurate records of work orders, maintenance activity, and spare parts usage
- Follow all safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures and plant policies
- Partner with operations and engineering to improve reliability and reduce downtime
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, and efficiency
What You Need to Have
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school training strongly preferred
- 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a metal fabrication, equipment, industrial or heavy manufacturing setting; manufacturing experience is required
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills are required; multi-craft candidates with combined electrical and mechanical experience are strongly preferred
- PLC experience is preferred; must be comfortable diagnosing and working on PLC-controlled systems
- Mechanical-only backgrounds will not be considered; an electrical focus or combined electrical and mechanical background is what this facility needs
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
