Position Overview
As part of the People & Culture team, the P&C Recruitment Specialist executes JSI’s global talent acquisition and workforce management strategies. Acting as the data-driven engine for active recruitment campaigns, this role blends high-touch candidate care with sophisticated platform management to ensure a seamless hiring experience across all divisions. By clearing recruitment bottlenecks and providing immediate operational surge support, this position coordinates closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and cross-divisional teams.
This full-time, temporary (3-month initial contract) position reports to the Director, Talent Management and can be based in the U.S. where JSI is registered.

Responsibilities
People & Influence
- Partner with hiring managers and internal recruiters to guide candidates smoothly from sourcing to onboarding, preserving a high standard of candidate care.
- Interface confidently with candidates, employees, and organizational leadership to advise and coach teams on active recruitment protocols.
- Partner closely with the international P&C team to provide operational guidance and technical support to country program teams, establishing an accessible HR advisory resource for distributed field operations.
- Execute day-to-day operations for a high volume of open requisitions, including screening resumes and conducting behavioral phone interviews from internships up to senior technical roles to yield high-quality candidate shortlists.
- Coordinate complex, multi-stage virtual panel interview scheduling across diverse domestic and international time zones to align schedules efficiently.
- Manage the hand-off process of finalized hires to the onboarding team, tracking administrative documentation to guarantee start-date readiness.
- Collect and analyze key operational recruitment data to present trends, including sourcing channel effectiveness and pipeline diversity, to inform strategic outreach.
- Manage system functionality within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to optimize daily recruitment workflows and maintain system health.
- Audit and manage data integrity within JSI's ATS, ensuring candidate profiles, scores, and requisition statuses remain accurate.
- Build and maintain weekly recruitment data dashboards using advanced Excel features to deliver clear operational metrics to talent acquisition leadership.
- Provide ad-hoc operational support to the broader corporate People & Culture team, such as assisting with special departmental initiatives, updating internal HR documentation, supporting audit readiness, and helping compile or format materials for organizational working groups, as requested.
Education, experience, skills, and competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Health, or Organizational Psychology, a related field, or equivalent experience. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
- 7 years of progressive, hands-on experience in corporate recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR coordination. Experience working within a fast-paced global nonprofit, public health, or federal contracting environment is highly valued.
- Previous experience working within JSI systems, culture, and operational frameworks is strongly preferred.
- Advanced, power-user proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (e.g., pivot tables, data cleaning, trend visualization) are required to translate data into actionable leadership reports.
- Demonstrated analytic, proactive problem-solving, organizational, project management, and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail, with maturity of judgement in confidential matters; ability to thrive in a self-directed, fast-paced environment, and operate with a high sense of urgency and ownership with little oversight.
- Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to confidently interface with and advise leadership at all levels.
- Fluent oral and written English communication skills. Fluency in a second language (French, Spanish, Portuguese, or others) is preferred.
- Mostly operates a computer in a remote/virtual first environment.
- Ability to maintain a comfortable and ergonomic posture while working.
