Payroll Specialist

JSG is recruiting a Payroll Specialist for a client in Wilmington DE. The selected candidate will be a key player in payroll operations, and oversee US payroll tax reporting, filings, and planning, working with leading payroll systems such as SAP, ADP GlobalView, and UKG Pro.

Pay $46/hour

Required Skills

• Minimum 3-5 years of payroll administration experience, with a strong understanding of payroll tax regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll systems such as SAP, ADP GlobalView, and UKG Pro.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Experience with payroll tax reconciliation, filings (941, 940, W2, W2c), and audit support.
• Familiarity with federal and multi-state payroll laws and compliance.
  
  

Nice to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of financial reporting requirements and SEC experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures related to payroll taxes.
• CPA certification or advanced degree in related fields.
• Working knowledge of general ledger reconciliation and HR policies.
  
  

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  
  

Other Requirements:

• Ability to adapt to changing regulations and emerging industry trends.
• Prior experience working with payroll systems such as Workday or SAP Payroll is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to support year-end processes, audits, and new system implementations.
