We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer specializing in underground utilities and gas line infrastructure. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate construction drawings, layouts, and as-built documentation for gas distribution, transmission, and related underground utility projects in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

- Develop detailed CAD drawings for underground gas pipelines, utility corridors, and related infrastructure
- Prepare plan & profile drawings, alignment sheets, trench details, and cross-sections
- Draft as-built drawings based on field data and redline markups
- Incorporate survey data, GIS information, and utility locates into drawings
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, surveyors, and field crews
- Ensure drawings comply with local, state, and federal codes (DOT, PHMSA, ASME, company standards)
- Maintain drawing standards, layer management, and file organization
- Review drawings for accuracy, constructability, and clash avoidance
- Update drawings based on design revisions and field changes
- Support permitting and right-of-way documentation as needed
- Associate’s degree or certification in CAD Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience drafting underground utilities or gas line projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred)
- Strong understanding of:
- Gas pipeline layouts and utility coordination
- Underground construction methods and standards
- Plan/profile and sectional drawings
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and survey
